Chorus, in overcoats covered in vines, sticks, and roots sing "wasteland" and at the end raise their branchy arms and sway in the wind during the scenes. The sky is a burning orange. The Up Stage Hills are now burned and hard. Adam and Eve can use under the SL Scaffold as their home. When Able sacrifices to Father, he builds a "fire" of logs over a hole in the deck where a fog machine is attached.
